Dominic Frasca is a New York based guitarist
who along with performing and composing also enjoys working
with student at his production studio located in Manhattan .Although
Dominic specializes in advanced guitar concepts and extended
techniques he is well versed in standard classical guitar techniques
as well as all electric guitar styles.
Focal Dystonia
In 1996 Dominic's developed Focal Dystonia in his right hand
that was caused by over practicing one of his extended techniques.
The condition shut down his right hand completely making it
difficult for him to do the most basic movements. He spent
the next two years reworking his technique to counter the
effects off the dystonia. After finally fixing the condition
and getting his hand in better working condition than before
the injury. He spent the next year writing and performing
before developing the same condition in his left hand from
also over pr acting an extended technique. After another two
years of work he managed to retrain his left hand to overcome
the injury. Dominic has been injury free since 2001. He has
also taken great interest in working with musicians who suffer
from this all to common condition, and has had great success
in helping them regain their playing.
